MY WEBSITE

It is not coming along at all. I have a friend that is going to help me but he has two jobs so it is going to be hard to catch up with him so it seems. I made this picture for my site. Yes, I know, it is horrible. There worst thing is that it won't even show up on the internet. I can call my webhoster, but it takes sooo long to talk to them, then when you get them, after an hour or so, they can't help you!!! I am not giving up. I can't and wont!

Ten minutes until I have to leave for work and I can't be late fooling around with my website!

CUTIES PIES

I went to a class today and this is what we made. Little snowmen. Of course Christmas is over, but the Snowman is not all about Christmas. He is a part of the winter theme. I would post my snowman, but I did not finish him. I need to add a hat and scarf. I didn't finish it because I wanted to meet the other ladies and see what they were making. I met some friends and I met the lady Marcia that I blogged about earlier. She makes beautiful things and I hope to learn from her soon. I will definitely be joining the group.

The teachers name was Kelly and she was very nice. She gave out "free" material to all that did not have it. Wow! That was awesome of her! Of course I was prepared, I had my things. Everything but TLS. ?!?!? Translucent Liquid ?? It is like a glue for PVC. I was late to the class, and even though I the meeting had not started yet, I don't want to be late to the next one or anything else. I heard on a TV show, "Mercy", a man say to a woman, "You showed up late... you know you are saying, "F y'all" when you show up late?!?" Actually she was because she did not want to be there, but I don't want to say that. I do have a bad habit of being late and I am going to work on stopping that.

I was on this site a few times yesterday showing my friends and encouraging them to start a blog as well. (I'm listening to Tony Toni Tone, and clearly Raphael Saadiq was definitely the only singer in the group. I love his voice. I saw him in concert, and he looks much better in person truly! He has to be the most non-photogenic person I know! I formed a crush on him that day, but it was gone within a few days:o).

I am liking the blog idea. For some reason, I will post my jewelry here before I will post it on my paid site. I think I am ashamed of my unprofessional pictures, and this is just for fun. I am going to get it going though. I have to if I want it to grow. I heard someone just today, that if you want to do great things, you must grind 4 times harder than that next guy. I know this, but I am just not an all around grinder. I do what I do and I will do it. I am great at somethings, okay at other things, then I just don't care to deal with most of the rest. Accounting. I love accounting on paper, but when I have to physically count and organize... How painful. I just wanna play, make product:o)!!

I do have help on the horizon. My friend Lee is going to take my pictures, Charles is going to help me with my website, and Shelly will help me with the accounting side of the house. Of course my financial backers are Tammy and Elaine...what would I do without my family!! "Where would I be if I didn't know you" ~Kindred the Family Soul.

I am going to continue the mission though. I think by next year I will be rather established. I have 4 months to get enough inventory together to inter shows and bazaars. That's my goal. I want to be able to set up in parks and maybe in "Atlantic Station". I doubt it. Seems very expensive. Hopefully I will have a job by the summer, then I can get more done.

ANOTHER DRESS FOR THE BALL

This is a simple but cute dress. I want to wear it to the mixer they are having the first night of the ball. I actually have my friend Renpet making it now. The material is very similar so I hope it comes out really great it white and silver and I already bought the shoes:o). I will post that if I don't forget.

I think I could make the dress myself; it is a fairly easy pattern, but I just don't have time. Or... I don't want to devote time to it, and I dont' want to mess it up and have it not fit well. I don't know anything about measuring and altering clothing. I can only cut and sew beside the line of which I have cut:o). I've made a few things, but they looked so homely; I wouldn't dare post them here! Well, I may, but don't laugh. I will post this dress when I get it back from Renpet.

BLACK & WHITE BALL

I have a friend that sews. I blogged about her in December. Her website is Culture at it's BES. December 31st actually. I want her to make my ball dress. this is the one I am thinking about. I don't want to look scandalous, but I do want to look really H-O-T:o). It's a Vogue pattern. V1047. I am not too sure about the bottom of this dress. I don't know if I want it diagonal or not, and I definitely don't want it to drag the floor. I think I will try to combine a few dresses to perfect this one.

I also made this piece today. The necklace took me forever because I was catching up on my tv shows for the week. It's not hanging well so i am glad I took the picture of it. Will fix tomorrow. I do love it though. I used turquoise and hemitite, and of course sterling silver.

PROJECT RUNWAY 7.2

The hooded look was designed by "Seth Aaron Henderson". I fav'ed his look last week so it looks like I've found a second favorite designer. My favorite is Anthony Williams because he is so "out there":o). I do hope he wins. He has nice pieces as well.

The pant and vest is my favorite look. It's made by "Jesse LeNoir". I think the boots are stupid with the outfit, but it was a farm challenge so...
...I recieved some interest in the jewelry I wore to work today and I recieved an order for a bracelet from "Jada" lol! Inside joke. I am making "some" progress in the selling department so I am not mad. I wish I was a little more organized, but, "it is what it is." I am going to get some help come in next week to help out.

TODAY AT 3:42am

First of all, the clock on Blogger does not display the correct time. I think it is California time. Anyway, it is early and I am starting really slow. I wanted to wash my dishes and finish the other earring for work but that did not happen. I am just slow moe today. I did come up with a better way to attach the hook to the circular earring. I will be trying that when I get home to day.

Today was a good day. Yes sir. I have an interview tomorrow which is great. It is seasonal, but hey, it's a start. I'm sure they will love me, then promote me to Manager:o).

I spent too much money at Micheal's today. I actually made a 25 dollar return so it wasn't that bad, yet it was bad:o). I hope to make product an turn it in to money:o) I made a piece for my sister; with matching earrings also. She lives in the town with my sis in law and I couldn't just give one something without the other. That aint right:o). I also made some earrings to where to work, and they actually match a suit that I have so I will be wearing them to my interview tomorrow. They are a bit big, but they are not ghetto. Just more urban so I think I'm good. We will see. I will try to take a picture of me in my suit and will post that as well.

Oh, my neice started a blog. Her blog is more public than mine and much more interesting:o). It was my idea. he he :o). She says she listens to me sometimes:o).

JACK IS BACK!

I just woke up and I am sick, sick, sick. I need to go to work tomorrow because I need my money. I wonder that made me sick? What is the half a gallon of milk I drank with in 24 hours? Sorry, I hadn't had any cereal in months:o). Captain Crunch too. How lovely.

After work tomorrow I hope to get started on some jewelry. Back to feeling out applications too. I needs another job. A real job!!!

I finally was able to watch 24 today and get caught up... Renee is back with a vengeance. She is Jack reincarnated, except she is even a little more "out there" then Jacky boy!!!! The show is starting out excellently!! I will definitely be glued to the computer. Wish I could watch it on Monday night but I have such an early work call. FOX is were it's at!

INSPIRATION PIECE

I am having issues with my computer. I have cleaned all othe viruses off, but it looks as if my virus protector has gone away so I have to do more work on it. I think I shall delete it and download COMODO. I still have to focus on my jewelry business even though I am feeling a little sickly today. (frequent bathroom strips. Was it the have gallon of milk I drank yesterday?!?)so I thought I would post a picture. A lady named Marcia made these. I love them and I Hope to be able to make something like them as well. I am going to a meeting for the first time for the PVC group. I hope to meet her, and gleem some of the knowledge that went into makeing these beautiful earrings.

JOB SEARCH and COMPUTER FIX

My computer is jacked up:o(. So I am trying, with the help of my lovely and oh so talented Computer guy, V-Man Injaznito!!! The viruses are so sneeky these days they are disguising themselves as Security Software. Yes folks, virus killers, so please beware! I try not to use MS Explorer but from time to time I do, well I am going to try to remedy that. FoxFire Mozilla is the way to go!

Wow, it's already been an hour and thirty minutes and the Malwarebytes Anti Virus is still going! This is like the 4th time I have ran it, and each time is around one hour so you know I am not getting much done. Actually I should be getting a lot done, but I just feel really tired and drained. Definitely malnutrition. I don't eat right, I 've never eatin' right and it is starting to catch up to me. Trust me, I'm working on it. I did some followups on some applications and I am about to find some temp agencies to check out when I get done blogging. There are just not many jobs out there to be had. I just don't know. Whoa! Anti-Virus is done, I have to reboot so catcha later...

BRACELET AND EARRING SET

Today was productive, but I didn't not get as much done as I needed to. I did however make some jewelry. I made the bracelet and earrings to match. I made a set for my sis in law and for my friends B-day. That's about all I got done today. I also caught up on episodes of 24 AND Trauma. Trama is so good! It does not just give the lives and personalities of the star players, it also digs more into the personalities and actions of the patients that are on one episodes. It is more of a real life type of thing. Makes you feel like you know these people. Southland is like it also. It was a great TV show, but I have not heard anything about it so I don't know if it will be coming on again:o(.

Also (VIA CIC I recieved a card on my door today. It was from my friend,let's just call him "Sergeant Murtaugh" because I don't think he would be cool with his name in flashing lights over the internet. I guess he doesn't realize that he is already on the www anyway. Everyone is...name, address, and phone number...doh! It was a birthday card, how sweet. He explained how sorry he was that he could not make my Birthday/Concert outing, and that he would make it up to me with some good eats. cool. He's a cool dude. Some what on the different side, but so am I so ...:o).

LENIER STUDIOS

Okay, so I didn't do any jewelry making today. I just spent most of the day watching Farve spank that Cowboy's backside, and cleaning my Studio. I am trying to get it organized to that I will only work in it and have not need to work in my livingroom or kitchen space. Of course, I do need to use the kitchen for curing, but soon when I get my mini stove, I will move that into the studio as well. I am excited and ready to grow my business. Tons of Ideas in my head. I have appointments Monday and Tuesday, but I will be back in full-force on Wednesday creating way.

A MISSING PIECE

I saw this picture on the webpage of a friends blog and thought of me. Is this me? Am I missing something, and is that something the reason that I can not seal the deal? I don't mean that kind of deal, but you know... anyway, yest it is a representative of my situation. I am toying with the idea of having a relationship. I feel that I want one, yet, I know that I am truly not ready for one, and until then it will not happen. Yes indeed, there are alot of beautiful men in this town. One day, one of them will be mine, until then, I will continue to jump up out my bed, put my swag on...:o).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Yep, today's my birthday and I feel great. I am in know way shape or form ashamed of my age. It is just too many numbers, so I am afraid that I won't be sharing my age with anyone else. Last year my age was cute. This year... Anyway, I just wanted to post my picture. I loved my dress (16.99 at TJ MAXX) and of course I made my jewelry. Love it too.

"Charles is going to help me with my website. He designs them and he told me that he would help me, of course I will be making him nice meals as pay which he agreed up on, but most importantly, he will be helping me get my site up in a manner that I won't be imbarrassed of it. Pretti Things.com is not looking so pretty. I hope it will be looking very pretty by next month:o).

PROJECT RUNWAY 7.1

Yes! The talent is extraordinarily on my level(as far as things I'd like to wear:o). Most of these designers would be on my payroll had I been able to afford that type of luxury. For the moment though, TJ Maxx and I are working together just fine.

Seth Aaron Henderson designed this dress. It is not exactly something I would seek out at a store, but it is beautiful, and as a younger women, I would wear it proudly with black tights and stiletto boots! The winner of this week had a beautiful dress also. I just did not like the top of the dress. It was a uni-shoulder dress, but I didn't like the way it was cut to drape over the breasts. I little more attention in the area, and it would definitetly on my "Must have list". Looking forward to seeing all the the designs this season!

THE CONCERT w/N'DAMBI

Yes, I missed yesterday:o(. I didn't even thing to write on here yesterday. It is something new so I'll just have to get use to it.

Well, today is my birthday, but yesterday I celebrated it. Went to the N'dambi Concert. She was good good! Better in person, and she was beautiful. Cousin and his friend came and we had a blast. Also, Artia, Jaafar, and Translation performed. They were all great!

The venue, of course was very small, "Apache Cafe". But this was the first time I got to set and the table so my attitude has changed. The staff was beautiful, and treated my guests and I well even though I don't drink (less money). The acoustic were adjusted well so it was not to loud even compared to how small it was.

I was of course able to meet N'dambi after words. She is so nice and with an humble spirit! I could not afford a CD, but I loved her and had to support her. Plus! The music was great! The CD is too! Sounds so much better on a real CD system. My computer is "whack" and must go!

On another note. I received some advice from Charles Chronicles. He listed 5 things you could do to make your man smile. I told him that I do all but one of them already. Well, he suggested that I do all of them. I may just do that Charles in charge!

He also suggested that I start blogging on relationship advice. I am not a writer by any stretch of the imagination, but I do like to talk:o). So I may do that as well; maybe the next time I give some advice I will write on it here as well. I am sure that I will need to revert back to it in the case the romantic division in my life picks up. Nothing there. Of course, this week. There are a couple of guys that I am excited to here the ring-tones of, and or receive emails from. Just friends so far. This is excellent. Life if a beautiful thing. We must sip it slow in other to savor every aspect of it. Rushing is not enjoyable.Thank you sir!

Going to bead now. Been working hard. Got some cute earrings made. actually a few things. Hopefully my blogging will be back on track soon. Tomorrow is my concert with N'Dambi. I hope some of my friends show up. If now, I will be making some at the show.

I'VE BEEN BUSY

That's why I have not posted for 2 days. Actually more like I was so busy that I forgot. I have made a few things and sold a few things. I also working on my website a little more. It is looking better so I will go ahead it post the link for anyone reading this. www.prettithings.com. It is still very amateur and some of my pictures will not come up, but hey, I will work on it little by little. I figured that if I waited until all of that was squared away, then I would just not do anything. Boo to that.

JACK IS BACK. 24 starts Sunday and I can't wait. They black man "Bubba" from Forrest Gump is going to be on it so that's cool. Chloe is back. Yeah! Will Tony Almeida be back?
